Here is the Plein Air I did at the Witten Center, campground. It is a lot of fun and quite a different approach from my portraits. 3 hours compared to around 40-50 hours. I enjoy being outside in nature and as I've said before, these paintings are more of an experience than a painting. I'm pressing some leaves in my flower press to make special frames for these paintings that will add to the experience of actually being there. These paintings are a lot looser than my portraits and I'm having to let go even when it kind of annoys me not to paint some extra detail in the building. It's about catching and blocking in color.
