February Update
I have neglected my blog it seems. I've been so busy updating Instagram, facebook, Twitter etc. lol. It is really not like me to put myself out on front and that's basically what you do when you post your Art. People seem to love looking at the process of how it's done, no matter what stage you are at in your art career or even as a hobby. I laugh at myself at times, like who is this confident woman who would post the beginning of a painting without knowing that it is going to turn out. As an artist I go from days of this is crap, what am I doing, to did I do that? lol. I don't know who this confident women is but the worst that can happen is failure and I see failure as a learning experience for the next time, so all is good. This portrait is just a little different as the band seem to be following along with the progress, posting it on their page and getting 16,000 hits or more. Plus I've gotten an old Signshop buddy Kimon Brown in on the frame building before it's even finished. A little more pressure to do well, the same kind of pressure when I do a commission which I love. I miss that pressure when it's my own idea and painting. So here is the update. The painting by Sargent that I got my inspiration for the frame from his painting of Lady Macbeth. The work Kimon Brown is doing on the frame and the portrait update.
