Outside of my comfort zone!

Hello, my name is Alison and I'm an Introvert!

You have no idea how nervous I get at photo shoots.  It is only a vehicle that I use to get to where I really want to be, in the studio painting.  Since my paintings usually include children and people that don't have the time to sit with me for days I do heavily rely on photography to paint from.  Though I paint from life when possible.  I have had to learn about my camera and all it's settings which was really a chore for me.  Though I know more than some, I still don't consider myself as a photographer.  My happy place is in solitude listening to great music while I paint away in my studio.  I am not a quick decision maker, just ask my husband and sometime even have trouble communicating to people what I want.  I had to talk Amy at the indoor Aquatic Center in Tupelo to let me do this, knowing how crazy it sounds, how crazy I must sound.  So, I write this before I head to the pool, to do a photo shoot.  It will involve two willing and very lovely young ladies who are going to model for me.  This granny has to don my old swimsuit and goggles.  It involves a lot of prayer.  Yes, I pray through my art.  This introvert is fighting it all the way but it is sooooo hard.  I will post a photo with this post later.  More photos for my underwater series of paintings.

What  a great model!  There seemed to be a lot of bubbles to contend with but otherwise, I'm ready to paint.
